Day 1- Parametric Modeling Fundamentals - Quick Start

Day 2 - Rehearsal of Parametric Modeling Fundamentals
- Create two to four designs of your own and show each to your teacher as you complete it.

Day 4 - User Interface
- Browse through "Lesson 3 - User interface" click here to view the lesson

- As you read , try the various functions.
- Prepare for tomorrow's practical test by becoming familiar with the following tasks &
menus:
- Panel Bar contents
- Make panel bar visible
- Browser toolbar
- Change to "3D sketch" or "features" mode
- Navigate between the default , English and Metric tabs.
- Change colour
- Zoom in and out "Keyboard Shortcut"
- Move window "Keyboard Shortcut"
- Rotate
- Move rotation center
- Create a workplane
- Select "centerpoint"tool
- Isometric View
- Create an Arc
- Dimension a line
- Make toolbar visible
- Various file formats eg. ".ipt"
Practical Test - the teacher will ask you to demonstrate various skills from the list above as well
as skills developed in days 1 through 3.
Day 5 - Making a Wheel

Day 6 - The Features Toolbar & Adding a Rib
- Read pages 8 through 12.
- Complete the tutorial on pages 13 through 16

- Read through pages 17 to 50

Day 7 - Written Test
- Today your written test will be based on the multiple choice questions from the back of
lessons 1, 2, 3 & 4 as well as your practical test.
- Once you have completed the written test, move on to the "Parts Tutorial"
Day 8 - Parts Tutorial
- Watch the teacher demonstration for today's activities
- For step by step instruction, open the "tutorials" section of Inventor
- Complete the "Parts" tutorial
- Have your teacher mark your work then check your assessment sheet and circle the
appropriate mark
Day 9 - Sheet Metal Tutorial
- Watch the teacher demonstration for today's activities
- For step by step instruction, open the "tutorials" section of Inventor
- Complete the "Sheet-Metal" tutorial
- Have your teacher mark your work then check your assessment sheet and circle the
appropriate mark
Day 10 - Sheet Metal Rehearsal
- Create a design to emulate any piece of sheet-metal from around this room or from home.
Day 11 - Drawing Tutorial
- Watch the teacher demonstration for today's activities

- Complete the "Drawing Tutorial" tutorial
- Have your teacher mark your work then check your assessment sheet and circle the
appropriate mark.
Day 12- Assemblies Tutorial
- Watch the teacher demonstration for today's activities
- For step by step instruction, open the "tutorials" section of Inventor
- Complete the "Assemblies" tutorial
- Have your teacher mark your work then check your assessment sheet and circle the
appropriate mark
Day 13 - Marking
- Have you completed assemblies tutorial open on your computer at the start of class.
- Be available when the teacher marks your work
- Ask your teacher for the "Advance Organizer" for today's video.
- Watch the video, answer the questions.
