The Arts as Treasures/ Tools for Language Acquisition
Description: This workshop will provide a rich literacy source and
develop it with you in workshop style to provide language acquisition through
group work activities facilitating the arts as a language medium.
Presenter: Dr. Bizero has worked in education for thirty-one years
as a teacher, Department Head, Vice-Principal, Principal, Consultant,
Superintendent of Education, Director of Education in JK– 12 education in
Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, South America, South Korea and the United Arab
Emirates. She has been responsible for English as a Second Language,
International Languages, Adult Education, Literacy and Basic Skills and
Bringing Math to the Centre
Description: An interactive, collaborative workshop focused on integrating
student-driven centre based learning into daily math. Teachers will collaborate
with other teachers to set up model math stations, differentiated activities,
assessment books, tracking boards, and modeling books based on information which
will be provided.
